Battlefield Hardline Beta Preload

Battlefield Hardline Beta pre-load up and running, get it ready for tomorrows action

I wouldn’t say I have been obsessing over Battlefield Hardlines Beta launch that is scheduled to hit all platforms tomorrow, but I did log in and out of Origin a few times this morning to see if it was accessible yet. Yes, I even did a search to see if there was a set time it would be available. According to one forum on EA’s Answer HQ, it was set to become available at 10 a.m. PST. Being that it is after that time here on the west coast, I am happy to let you all know that it is indeed listed to start pre-loading. You will want to head to your Origin account and go to the “Free Games” tab and select ” Demos & Betas” It should appear as the first game in the list and let you start the long process of pre-loading the game to your ...

Battlefield Hardline open beta on the horizon for all platforms

Battlefield Hardline has been a hit and miss topic of discussion among fans and haters of the Battlefield franchise. Plenty called out EA and Dice for attempting to make a whole new title to raise profits when it should just be a DLC for Battlefield 4. While I can understand some of the arguments, they really are negated by the fact that the title isn’t a war game and has a totally different story mode that isn’t even being handled by either, but by Visceral games. All of that can easily go into a whole new article, now the important bit of information is that there is an open beta close at hand that will cover all gaming platforms that the title will release for when it officially comes out March 17th. I had a rather fun time on the first PC beta. Even though the modes and maps were ...

12 minute video of Battlefield Hardline single player shows its Potential

Battlefield Hardline has been under fire since the initial beta for PC players went out back in June. People went on a rampage asking why it wasn’t going to be a lower price tag expansion, or DLC, for Battlefield 4. The beta was simply a look at two game modes for the online multiplayer aspect of the game. It did look and feel a lot like Battlefield 4, with a few twists. I Liked it, but I can see why the whole debate got started. Why on earth would you, or I, want to spend $70 for a game that really wasn’t all that much different from what we are already playing. Simple, the multiplayer aspect will be a big part of the title, but it is the single player campaign that is quit a bit different from any Battlefield game. In the following 12 minute in-game footage below, you ...

Battlefield Hardline is delayed

Visceral Games and DICE announces that Battlefield Hardline is delayed to 2015

Visceral Games and DICE have today announced that their latest game, Battlefield Hardline, will be delayed till 2015. In a blog post on the Battlefield site, DICE VP, Karl Magnus Troedsson, elaborated on the exact reasons that they have decided to delay Hardline till 2015, not least of all because of the feedback from the recent beta. We’ve been poring over the data and feedback, and have already been putting a lot of it right into the game and sharing it directly with you. This feedback also spurred us to start thinking about other possibilities and ways we could push Hardline innovation further and make the game even better. The more we thought about these ideas, the more we knew we had to get them into the game you will all be playing. However, there was only one problem. We would need more time. Time that we didn’t have if we ...

Battlefield Hardlines to get another beta on all platforms in the Fall

The Battlefield Hardline beta has come and gone in a flash, and while we did get to have a little taste of what was to come (check out our impressions here), we’re not quite sure what EA and Visceral Studios have in store for us for the rest of the game. Luckily though, it looks like there will be a second beta for Hardline, sometime in the fall; likely to mitigate any launch issues like the ones Battlefield 4 weathered. In a blog post, Visceral Studios General Manager, Steve Papoutsis, said: “The Battlefield Hardline beta was just a small portion of what is in store. We have plenty of new modes in the game that really play off the cop and criminal theme, as well as the return of fan-favorites. The variety in maps is also something that Battlefield fans have never experienced before, from subterranean grow labs to the ...

Battlefield Hardline Beta Impressions

Battlefield Hardline Beta Impressions: Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blew Up

Many of you will have heard about EA and Visceral Games‘ latest foray into the first person shooter domain, Battlefield Hardline, and quite a number of you will have experienced it first hand as part of its beta over the last few days. While the beta is still going to be open for a few days more, I thought I’d stop amongst all the chaos and lay down a few of my thoughts on the game at this early stage. Before I get into my nitty, gritty, and opinionated views, I’d like the preface these impressions by saying that I have been a huge fan of the Battlefield series ever since I got into Battlefield 2. Battlefield Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 are just some of the medals that I have worn on my chest through the years, and it’s with those war-wearied eyes that I turn my ...

EA Unlocks all Weapons and Gadgets for Battlefield Hardline Beta Players

Moments ago the Battlelog for the Battlefield Hardline Beta shared some great news. If you happen to be playing around in the beta, EA has unlocked all the weapons and gadgets for PC and PS4 players to try out. Getting a chance to play every single weapon and gadget available in Battlefield Hardline beta will allow us to get a better sense of what’s working for you, how each gun and item is balanced in every match/encounter, and make changes based on your feedback. Along with the firepower and gadgetry, they say they have also included some audio fixes and “netcode” improvements. Those were part of the June 18th update that they just ran. EA is also quick to point out that the Battlefield Hardline Beta’s weapons, gadgets and vehicles are just a taste of what is to come when the game makes its debut on October 21st. Don’t forget, ...

Battlefield Hardline Beta ‘Instant Access’ Available for PC Players

Just a week ago EA officially announced the new Battlefield Hardline game in cooperation with Dead Space creator, Visceral Studios. Visceral  is handling the simple player and story line aspect of the game while EA is handling the multiplayer aspect. When they announced the title at E3 they also made a closed beta of the mulitplayer aspect available for PC players. Picking it up was pretty easy, just go to the Battlefield page, sign into your Origins account and agree to the terms and conditions. It took a little while for the game to make its appearance in your “My Games” section of Origins. Not everyone has had the chance to get in and check out the new title though, but that just changed later in the evening last night. The official Battlefield blog announced that any PC player out there can not sign up and get instant access to the ...
