If you haven’t heard of Plex, you must have been living under a rock.  Plex is probably one of the most complete media streaming solutions available today.  Plex comes in the form of a media server and media clients for almost every client device you can imagine.  From your Samsung and LG TVs to Roku, Chromecast and everything else under the sun.  Thanks to a community member by the name of Tyson Edwards and Microsoft’s ID@Xbox developer program, it’s on its way to the XBox One. There is a long stream of chats going on in the Plex forums about the Plex client coming to the XBox One and the progress of the application development.  Its still a ways off reading all the chatter, but it’s great to know that its on its way. How many of you have heard of Microsoft Games with Gold?  I hadn’t until recently and apparently they’ve been available for a long time.  Anyone who has a Microsoft XBox Live Gold Membership has perks that others don’t. You get discounts on games and accessories and previously were the only ones to have access to streaming content such as Netflix and Pandora, although that has recently changed. As the console wars heat up, so does the competition from each of the console manufacturers and one of those amazing benefits from these wars is FREE games from Microsoft for us. Microsoft Release XBox One June Update. It’s a Good One!

There was, and possibly still is a lot of disappointment around the home media center functionality available in the Microsoft XBox One. The home entertainment console that is supposed to control all your media as well as play games.  with that said, Microsoft are releasing plenty of updates that keep adding functionality and adding functionality that the community at large keep asking for.  we’ll see what happens over the coming months, but it does appear that Microsoft are listening to us and the latest June update just hitting your consoles adds some pretty cool stuff.   Storage One of the biggest complaints has been around storage and load times.  Part of the June update adds support for up to two external USB 3 hard drives.  Beta testers of the June update have reported must faster load times using an external USB 3 drive.  The drive have to be USB 3 ...
