343 Industries shows off revamped “Lockout” map from Halo 2 Anniversary

Possibly almost as anticipated as the next chapter in the Halo saga, Halo 5: Guardians,  is Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a box that will contain Halos 1 through 4, all with revamped graphics to match the graphical prowess afforded to them on the Xbox One. Chief among the exciting things included in the Collection is Halo 2 Anniversary, which is going to get some extremely special treatment, not only because it was released 10 years ago, but because it was originally released on the original Xbox.

We’ve already seen how some of the cinematics are going to look, but Microsoft and 343 Industries have been slowly showing off the graphically revamped multiplayer maps, and this time it’s Lockout’s turn – Ascension, Coagulation, Zanzibar and Sanctuary are the maps that have already been unveiled. Lockout was a fan favourite in the Halo community as it was a brilliant map for close-quarters action. The core map hasn’t been altered, however as you might expect, the graphics have been given a huge update, and the comparison pictures show an astounding improvement. Check out some of the comparisons below:
